ペン画アーティストMAINA の個展 「門司港の記憶と空想」を
門司港美術工芸研究所ギャラリーにて開催いたします。

本展は、大分県在住のペン画アーティスト MAINAの初めての個展です。
これまでInstagramで発表をしてきた作品と、新たに制作した門司港の風景を幻想的な世界として再構築した作品群を展示します。
歴史ある建築物が並ぶ門司港の街並みは、現実と幻想の狭間にあるような独特の雰囲気を持っており、
それをペン画の繊細な線と構成によって視覚化することで、新たな物語を創り出します。
現実の建築や風景をモチーフにしながらも、想像の要素を融合させ、見る人の記憶や感覚に働きかけるような空間を演出する展覧会です。

私の作品は、ペン画を主な表現手法とし、細密な線描によって「空想の世界」を可視化する試みです。
現実とは異なる時間軸や論理体系を持つ幻想的な世界を、限りなく具体的な形態として描き出すことで、視覚的なリアリティと想像の自由を共存させることを目指しています。

ペン画という技法の特性上、すべての線が明確に可視化され、消すことのできない絶対的な存在となります。
この線の積層によって、現実と異なる新たな秩序を持つ空間を創出し、視覚的な深度や質感を生み出しています。
鑑賞者にとって、私の作品は単なる視覚的なイメージではなく、思考や感覚を刺激する媒介となることを意図しており、
細密な描写の中に隠された物語や象徴を読み解くことで、鑑賞者自身の内なる世界と呼応し、新たな解釈や感情が生まれることを願っています。

My work primarily employs pen drawing as a means of expression, attempting to visualize an “imaginary world” through intricate linework.
By depicting a fantastical world with a different timeline and logic from reality in an exceedingly detailed form, I aim to harmonize visual realism with the freedom of imagination.
Due to the nature of pen drawing, every line is clearly visible and becomes an absolute, unerasable presence.

Through the accumulation of these lines, I create spaces with a new order distinct from reality, generating visual depth and texture.
My work is intended not merely as a visual image but as a medium that stimulates thought and sensation.
I hope that viewers will uncover hidden narratives and symbols within the intricate details, allowing their inner world to resonate with the artwork and giving rise to new interpretations and emotions.
